Want the part without the vocals?

A cut keeps everything in that part. Vocal Remover gives you the instrumental; Music Remover keeps the voice and takes the song out.

Audio cutter: questions

All questions
Does the audio cutter upload my file anywhere?

No. The file is opened and converted by your own browser, and the result is saved straight to your computer. Nothing is sent to us, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete.

Can I make a ringtone with it?

Yes. Cut a short part (under 30 seconds works on every phone), add a short fade in and out, and save it as MP3 for Android or M4A for iPhone. An iPhone needs the file renamed to .m4r and added in Finder or GarageBand.

Does cutting lower the quality?

Only as much as saving in that format does. Pick WAV or FLAC to keep every detail, or High quality for MP3, M4A and OGG.

How exact is the cut?

To a tenth of a second. Type the start and end, or drag the handles and play the part until it sounds right.

How big a file can the audio cutter open?

Up to 1 GB. Long files are fine; the time it takes depends on your computer, since nothing is uploaded. Closing the tab stops it.
