How do I remove echo from a voice recording?

Is echo the same as reverb?
In a recording, yes: both are the sound of the room reaching the mic a moment after the voice. This takes out both, the long ring of a hall and the short boxy sound of a small room.
Can I keep a little of the room?
Yes. The echo comes back as its own track, so set it to 10 or 20 in the player for a voice that still sounds like it was in a room.
Does it remove background noise too?
No. It takes out the room, not the noise in it. If there is traffic or hum as well, run the result through the background noise remover.
There is music under the voice too. Can the echo remover take it out?
No, use the Voice Isolator for that. It takes out music and every other sound in one go. This page is for recordings where the voice is the only thing you want and the problem is the noise or the room.
Does the echo remover cost more than removing music?

What happens to the files I give the echo remover?
For a video, only the sound is uploaded; the picture stays on your device and the new soundtrack is put back there. The separated tracks are deleted after 24 hours without an account, 3 days on free accounts and 7 days on paid ones.
